The Auberry Chapter of the Central Valley Tea Party will meet the third Wednesday of each month at the Pizza Factory, 29424 Auberry Rd, Prather from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. September 19th is our next meeting in which former Fresno Mayor Jim Patterson will be our guest speaker. Mr. Patterson is running for Assemblymember Dr. Linda Halderman’s soon vacant and newly-created 23rd California Assembly District in which we live. In addition to being the Mayor of Fresno, Jim was a Board Member of the Fresno County Transportation Authority and Board Member of the Council of Fresno County Governments (COG). Our Auberry community has this opportunity to meet and ask questions of Mr. Patterson to make an educated decision from his platform to represent us in Sacramento. Jim has frequented and spoke at many Central Valley Tea Party events.
Jim won the June primary along with Bob Whalen to face off in November. Bob will be our guest next month with our effort to bring Auberry a balanced look at both of our potential State representatives. Both have endorsed our Tea Party values. Upcoming propositions and candidates will also be discussed with Tea Party recommendations from a state perspective. We openly invite local school board candidates to introduce themselves to the community. A mock-vote will soon be offered within our group and we will publicly display our complete result in the Mountain Press about the upcoming November election from our local School Board to President of the United States including the propositions.
Those interested in the Tea Party may be Democrat, Republican, Independent or political novices who agree with our three core values of Constitutionally Limited Government, Fiscal Responsibility and Free Market Principals, consistent with Individual Freedom. We discuss legislation and candidates on a local, State and Federal level. Anyone interested may attend. Contact Ron or Amanda Arteno for info.
